What is the Appeal

Reader,

If you are a supporter of the current administration, please let me know will you like about him? His pro-abortion stance? His constant blaming of President Bush? His snubbing of world leaders while appearing on Letterman and The View? Or is it his forcing of Obamacare on everyone? Or is it the fact that he now says he supports gay marriage? His views on redistribution of others' money?

Really, what is his appeal? Why do you support him? It truly blows my mind that so many, including a good number of my family members still do! Maybe it is because, if you opposed his politics, the left tries to paint you as a racist. This is the president who spent part of his first months in office on an apology tour of Europe.

A Divisive Campaign & Biased MSM

Did anyone get a chance to watch the Sean Hannity special on Fox News Sunday, September 23? Probably not as many as should have. A NFL football game and the Emmys (another awards show where Hollywood pats themselves on the back) were on. I DVR'd it and just watched it. It was about the very, very divisive campaign of the president. It included the mainstream media's blaring bias in favor of this president. It boggles my mind that people still support him.

I also watched the movie "Runaway Slave" on Saturday. It is an excellent movie about how the Civil Rights Act of 1964 has been one of the major things that destroyed the black family unit and how many black leaders feed into this. They want to keep minorities, especially blacks, beholding to them and afraid of Republicans, wealth people, whites, etc. The movie is by CL Bryant, who identifies himself as a former Democratic radical, NAACP chapter president, now current member of the Tea Party. The Tea Party you say? Aren't they a bunch of white guys trying to keep blacks in their place? Aren't they against the president because the color of his skin? If you watch NBC, CBS, or ABC nightly news, that is probably what you think.

You may not know that besides Rev. Bryant, other prominent black are also members including Col. Allen West, Herman Cain, and a wonderful man I am proud to call a FB friend Emery McClendon. If you hear anything about a black conservative, it is radicals and democrats calling them Uncle Toms or the horrible term "Oreos." So who are the racists? Who are closed-minded? Would you rather be a member of the party of Sandra Fluke, Al Sharpton, Katie Couric, Whoppie Goldberg, and Harry Reid or a member of party of Mr. Cain, Rev. Bryant, Mr. McClendon, Rep. West, Condalisa Rice?

The choice is clear.

One of my family members (who recently said she was going to take a break from FB because of political posts) posted a Being Liberal comment by Stephen Colbert about Christianity and helping others (see you can have freedom of speech if you are a Liberal but not a Conservative.) As I pondered that post, a thought came to me.

Who is more Christ-like, the man who gives of his own money and time to help others and shuns notoriety about it. Or the community-organizer, who loves to toot his "accomplishments" and to give others YOUR money! The same person who went to campaign-fundraisers after the death of one of our ambassadors and three brave former servicemen and whose wife feels that the people of the United States owe her vacation after vacation after vacation.

The choice this election year is so clear!

I spent a good portion of the day with my beautiful niece who just gave birth to an adorable 6#10oz precious baby girl. The baby decided to join our wacky family early and was on a ventilator for a little over a day and is now on oxygen. She is in the nicu and is doing well.

When I got to my niece's room I found her crying. I was alarmed that something had happened to the baby but, praise God, what was upsetting her was that wanted to have her baby with her. She worried her whole pregnancy that something would happen to the baby, and, today, after going through labor and a c-section, she felt like everything she worried about was coming to pass.

This got me to thinking about the Democratic Convention a few weeks ago and their "celebration of women and women's rights." I find that very sad, that they celebrate a women's choices including the right to terminate the life of her unborn child. Members of my own family will say, I would never have an abortion but won't tell someone else what to do or I am pro-life but will continually vote for politicians who are pro-abortion. They can't seem to grasp the concept that every time they vote for one of these candidates, they are voting pro-choice. Pro-choice, what an odd thing to call it. In  fact, it is pro-murder. The child is being killed, slaughtered, ripped apart. Sickening isn't it?

Why, do these same people, who support this legalized murder, kick up a fuss, if a pro-life person posts pictures of these murders? One told me these pictures were not appropriate for Facbook. Wow, that is some nerve, you can't look at the pictures but you support the "right to choose"? TOUGH! Where is the baby's right?

As I celebrate my beautiful niece and her wonderful husband becoming first time parents, I ask that the reader pause to reflect on the choices he or she makes this November. Do you vote for the man who has a record of voting not only for a woman's choice but also for infanticide (1) and who stated he would not want his daughters saddled with a "mistake",or, for the father of six who supported his wife through her battle with breast cancer and MS and is a hands-on dad and granddad. The choice is crystal clear.

Why I Am Starting a Blog

I've decided to start this blog out of frustration and a way to vent. I have been reposting on FB which has caused a lot of tension with some of my family. You see, I am a pro-life Christian Conservative in a family of (mainly) Liberal Democrats! My husband, older son,  my youngest sister & her family, and some of my cousins are of the same mind as me, but the large majority of family, especially those living in NYS are offended by my views.

The most important issues for me, especially this election year are: ending abortion, limiting government, preserving the constitution, and protecting the United States. I feel during the present administration, our country is going in completely the wrong direction.

Four years ago, people blamed President Bush and Republicans for the ills of the economy, crash of the housing market, and bloating of the federal deficit.  People, including Republicans and Independents, bought into the "Hope and Change" rhetoric of the Obama campaign. I've talked to fellow Republicans who voted for him and were "shocked" by the way he is running the government. Really? I am not shocked at all!

While I do feel President Bush could have vetoed some spending, the economic downturn started when the Democrats took over both houses of Congress. That is what boggles my mind when I see polls saying the majority of people still blame President Bush for the economy! Are you kidding me?!

People still don't realize that, as altruistic as the liberal  claim their agenda is, it is actually designed to keep people down, in their place. Think about it, if people are kept depend on government and government programs, what is the incentive to improve their lot in life? To succeed on their own?
